Gifford Academy for Performing Arts marked a historic milestone on Tuesday, April 21, with the groundbreaking of its future home at 45th Street and 32nd Avenue in the heart of Gifford.
Surrounded by students, families, community leaders, supporters, and friends, the ceremony celebrated more than a new building — it celebrated 23 years of music, mentorship, confidence-building, and opportunity for young people in our community.
The future facility will include soundproof practice rooms, a recording studio, a music lab, rehearsal space, and a welcoming lobby for small recitals and community gatherings. This new home will allow Gifford Academy for Performing Arts to expand programming, serve more students, and continue creating a place where young musicians can grow both on stage and in life.
Following the groundbreaking, students performed at the “Home Grown” Annual Spring Concert at Salt of the Earth Ministry, located next door to the future facility site.
